अक्षेत्र _akṣētra

अक्षेत्र a. [न.त.] Destitute of fields; uncultivated.

-त्रम् 1 A bad field (अप्रशस्तम् क्षेत्रम्); अक्षेत्रे बीजमुत्सृष्टमन्तरैव विनश्यति Ms.1.71.

-2 Not a good geometrical figure.

-3 (fig.) A bad pupil, unworthy recipient or receptacle (of anything).
